Naked

She could feel his eyes upon her.

He was standing off to the side, near the curb, waiting for the cars to stop. She was waiting too, slightly behind him, impatient eyes fixed upon the traffic light.

She cast a quick glance at him and brilliant green eyes stared back at her brazenly. He seemed to be memorizing the lines of her face, the stubby nose, the orange-brown eyes, the straight mouth, the headscarf gracing her head. She turned away, shifting her body slightly so that he remained in her peripheral vision.

His head was moving downward.

  1. Please explain this to me.

  2. to me too. please.

  3. weirdofreakloser. him, not you/the subject.

  4. it is, broadly speaking, about The Gaze and one’s reaction to it. the details are purposefully ambiguous. fathima has interpreted it as referring to a lecherous man, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be so.
