Party Animal

“So anything exciting planned for Azra’s party this weekend?”

“Well, of course I’ll be there, so it should be exciting.”

“Are you sure? There must be amusement and revelry for all. I think you should juggle or something.”

“How about I juggle knives?”

“Oh, that’s even better!”

“Is that so?”

“Yes, I think Azra shall be very pleased.”

“Not if some of her guests are injured.”

“I don’t know, actually. I think in a brilliant display of artistry, you should whisk those knives about the room until you do away with all of the guests, leaving only Azra and yourself behind–”

“Um, are you all right?”

“–and then, in a final act of exhilarating joy, you shall allow that last knife to slit through your throat, killing yourself and leaving only Azra staring about the deadened room in stunned pleasure.”

“Oh my God, you’re really scaring me!”

“But I’m serious.”

“You freak!”

“Just sharpen those knives, my dear.”

  1. Safiyyah, you have outdone yourself (in the sense that I am more scared reading this post than any of your others). I’m sure “Azra” would be quite disturbed to read this as well :)

But then again, is violence not an art of its own?

  2. I read this just before going to sleep last night, and I think I had nightmares about it. So twisted.

  3. oh, the horror!

  4. Morbid.

  5. you’re so weird. and yet you look so normal.

there was this bag i once saw on the subway. i liked it so much i complimented the girl who had it. it had this faded image of a 50s style Suburban Dream (TM) housewife on it and the word: “She hadn’t yet decided whether to use her power for good or for evil.”
i read this post and thought of your inner crayze and thought of this bag. there is a connection.
to quote my course syllabus: “be good.”

  6. the end is redeeming, no?
    heh.
